Welcome to our Spring 2012 Online Farm Market-- we are open for orders today through Tuesday for pickup at the Farm on Thursday afternoon from 3-6 pm, or you can choose to pre-order for Saturdays Franklin Market.


To place an order, simply fill out the order form, select the items and quantities you would like to have and press the send order button. Your order will be confirmed via email giving you an order total. Your order will then be ready for pickup on Thursday between 3 and 6 pm here at the farm.

Should you not be able to pickup your order, please call us as soon as possible at 615-274-3496. Thanks so much!

Red Ace Beets

Garlic Scapes

Like Garlic and green onions? Chances are you will like our garlic scapes. Scapes are the edible "seed pod and stalk" that the garlic shoots up. We remove them so that the plant will put energy into the bulb, but the scapes are useful too! Chop them up and use them like green onions or garlic in your next cooked dish. They are also good in any ground up spread you make in your food processor such as pesto, or dips. 3.00 per bunch
Recipe:
Garlic scape pesto

1 pound garlic scapes
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Olive oil (about 1/2 to 1 cup)
Pine nuts if available

Chop the garlic scapes into 3 inch lengths. Put it int he food processor and process until pureed. Add the parmesan and pine nuts and process until smooth. Slowly add the olive oil as the food processor runs and continue until all the oil is combined into the garlic. Store in an air-tight jar in the refrigerator.

Galisse is a perfect salad bowl type lettuce, the leaves are ever so soft and tender, what you think of when you think of butter lettuce. Flavor is excellent, this is one of our favorites!

Sown from a wild lettuce mix, each head is uniquely different in texture, size, shape and color...best of all each type is individually delicious! Think of this as "pencil broccoli". It is a brassica where the entire stem, bud and leaves are edible. Chop up the stem for stir fries or lightly steam the entire thing and serve as a side dish like broccoli. 3.00 per approximate one pound bunch.

A great combination of greens ready for your knife and elbow grease to create the perfect meal. Simply chop up everything, add some olive oil/butter, a splash of soy sauce and saute/steam for a few minutes until the water is reduced in the pan. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
