Hello Farm Friends,
How cool is it that we get to celebrate the 4th of July on a Saturday? I love it…I can already see lots of folks planning to get together and grill out, swim (or at least sit in the SHADE) and have a good time all while celebrating our independence. WOW…our independence. Only recently with goings on in Iran have I begun to really think about how blessed we are to be able to think what we want to think and even tell others what we think and feel…peaceably (at least most of the time). The first thing I think about when I think of independence is that it is not and never has been FREE. Lots of people have given time, sweat, loved ones, their own lives, not seeing their own children born and many months without a home cooked meal…all for the sake of freedom and independence. I hope this coming Saturday all of us Americans will stand together and celebrate our independence and freedoms however we so choose and find at least one person or family to thank for that right! What a great country to live in…if you are having a bad day and feel like the world is caving in on you…just remember you are blessed beyond measure just to live in the United States of America!
