Winter CSA Information

Jim and Julie,

I want to thank you so much for the tasty lettuces and vegetables from our produce box!
Our 4 year old son, who never, ever eats salad... asked to have 3 bowls of salad today at lunch. I couldn't believe it; he just kept asking for more in his bowl. So I kept fixing him additional bowls.
Thank you again for growing this very nutritious and delicious food.

I just wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying our boxes! I realize that we have only received two, but we are so thankful. As of Thursday night, we'd eaten half of the generous bag of mixed lettuces (wow, I was pleasantly surprised at its size), half the par-cel was in the dehydrator and the other half was in soup mix for Friday, the spinach and turnip greens were washed and in bags in the frig, the cabbage was on it's way to a casserole, and the butternut squash was in the oven for the next day's butternut squash and apple bake. In short, most of our basket is gone! Man, I love this!!! Thank you for providing us with wonderful produce and thank you for being so organized that you can let us know what will be in the basket so we can plan ahead. We are so blessed by your business/ministry!

Winter CSA

Cold weather doesn't stop the growing here at Rocky Glade Farm. Beginning in November of each year we begin harvesting fall vegetables out of our hoop-houses in order to fill half-bushel boxes for our CSA subscribers.

All spaces for the 2011-2012 Winter CSA are full. We will attend the Franklin Farmers Market on Saturdays during the winter at the Factory in Franklin from 9-12. We will also service Murfreesboro customers through Stones River with pickup in the downtown area.

For our Winter CSA customers, here is your winter pickup schedule:

Thursday on farm pickup, pickup time 2-6pm: Every other week starting November 3rd and ending April 19
(November 3-17, December 1-15-29, January 12-26, February 9-23, March 8-22, April 5-19)

Saturday on Farm pickup from 9am-12pm: Every other week starting November 5th and ending April 21
(Nov 5-19, December 3-17-31, January 14-28, Feb 11-25, March 10-24, April 7-21)

Saturday Mornings 9-12 at the Franklin Farmers Market at the Factory: Every other week starting November 5 and ending April 21.
