Busy week here at the Glade! Finally a window to make some hay!

Onions were gathered...well most of them. There are a few late varieties still in the ground, but we gathered a lot of onions. I love onions...do you? They are just perfect the way they are! Of course i love to cook with them too, but i love a good raw onion...and ours are good trust me! Also, onions are the only thing that will stop coughing around our house...onion slices or chopped up on the bottoms of your feet before bedtime and get ready for some rest when you have a cold!

We will have red, white and yellow storage onions available this summer and fall! Bring on the burgers and pasta salad and all the onion loving recipes!

Garlic! Whew! It is ALWAYS a job, but always has to be done in one swoop. There is about a 5 minute window between your garlic not quite being ready to pull and it being so ready that the bulbs open up and break off in the ground. My crew was amazing today and we got the job done!

It looks like a lot, but this isn't all of it!

Of course there were more things here on the farm this week but these were the biggies! Seems like enough! Have a great rest of your week!
