September: Calving has begun!

I know you can't see it but there's kale and collards and beets in this house! This was cover cropped this summer. Mowed. Tarped and we plant into the dried cover crop for weed control and to feed the good soil beneficials all winter long!

It's elderberry syrup season. Fresh and in stock on our farm store. Ingredients: fresh foraged elderberry, water, apple cider vinegar and Rocky Glade Farm raw honey.

September so far has been quite busy and full and all kinds of spectacular and humbling on the farm. I am always in awe of new life and how precious it is. Lots of fall vegetables are available at this time. In my opinion, Fall is the best eating season TN has to offer. Enjoy the bounty!
