Fall or FULL? Winter CSA shares now open!

Interested in the Winter CSA but not sure what option to choose? I'll break it down and hopefully help you make that final decision.

Insider tip: if you choose Fall, you will have the option to go FULL season with us after December:)

Fall is the best CSA we offer in my opinion and if I were new to CSAs it would be the one I would choose to participate in from my very own farm. Why? Simply because it is a mix of the best things from summer and fall crops. You will get to finish up warm season crops like cucumbers, peppers, herbs and some summer storage crops like a variety of potatoes, garlic and onions. In addition, you will get the first fruits of fall like fresh kale, cabbages, radishes, winter squash, sweet potatoes, broccoli and more. The CSA ends a week or so before Christmas, so it won't interfere with travel plans or company and you are all neatly wrapped up by the end of the year with your farm veggie pickup commitment!

However, I will tell you there is something amazing about choosing the FULL CSA and going into the deep winter with fresh vegetables from our farm. I like to call my FULL CSAers "adventurous" because no TWO Winter CSAs are ever the same!

You will find things you didn't know you like as well as things that you don't like...but at least now you know and have tried them!

Winters here in Middle TN can be a mix of all things, spring and summer even with some days getting close to 80 and then dropping promptly overnight into the 30s. If you don't like the weather one day just hang on because it will probably change the very next day. For this reason our FULL CSA can vary a lot about what is offered, but we work very hard to keep it fun and fresh and different for you each week. We offer lots of choices to help you customize your box for your family. Lots of lettuces, fresh kales, chard, asian greens and many things that you can add to your salads and sandwiches mixed in with storage crops like sweet potatoes, garlic, winter squash and more.

Let me know if you have any questions! I'm happy to answer! If you would like more information feel free to contact us!
